Dear Lord, please let me have two seats
\nupon which I may rest my weak flesh.
\nAnd let not the person behind me kick the seat repeatedly,
\nnor the person in front violently lower their seat.<\/p>\n
Allow me to sleep,
\nuninterrupted by others cellphones or luggage dropped onto my head.
\nAnd let me not worry about talking or passing gas in my sleep,
\nfor that is embarrassing.<\/p>\n
Keep any man with musky body odour away from the bus,
\nand smite the woman with too much perfume.
\nLet no light shine in my eyes,
\nnot sun, road lights, nor computer screens,
\nfor that is annoying.<\/p>\n
Keep the bus on steady ground Lord,
\nfor I lean my head against the window and bumbs make my teeth rattle,
\nand shake,
\nand I groan for death and deliverance.<\/p>\n
My legs are too long,
\nmy neck too stiff,
\nmake me like jelly so that I may rest my weak flesh.
