Well, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bustler.net\/\">Bustler<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.archinect.com\/\">Archinect<\/a> ran a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.archinect.com\/MJ\/\">Michael Jackson Monument Design<\/a> competition and the entries are now <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bustler.net\/index.php\/michael_jackson_competition\/finalists\/\">available for voting on<\/a>, and they&#8217;re of <em>mixed<\/em> quality.<\/p>\n<p>Some contenders didn&#8217;t bother to look up &#8220;monument&#8221; in the dictionary but lept straight for the lens flare filter, while others did cute conceptual pieces. A few are good: <em>Permanently exploding atom bomb Michael Jackson<\/em> and <em>Anti-terrorist Golden Statue with Lasers<\/em> go for the humour. <em>Lift &#038; Slide<\/em> is the only installation which seems thought through and <em>MJ Sperm Bank<\/em> is cute, but the rest are mostly photoshops of Michaels feet and the moon.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/monocultured.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/MJ_Anti_terroris_gold.png\" alt=\"MJ_Anti_terroris_gold\" title=\"MJ_Anti_terroris_gold\" width=\"640\" height=\"292\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2006\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/monocultured.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/MJ_nanobot.png\" alt=\"MJ_nanobot\" title=\"MJ_nanobot\" width=\"640\" height=\"325\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2007\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Go vote for my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bustler.net\/index.php\/michael_jackson_competition\/entry\/healing_the_world_one_cell_at_the_time\/\">anti-cancer nano-glove<\/a>. Let the others get their &#8220;You&#8217;re also super!&#8221; diplomas.
